Gavin completed his PhD at Imperial College London, measuring the thermal properties of lithium-ion cells. Prior to this, he studied Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast. Whilst there, Gavin completed an 18-month placement at Aston Martin, which included working on the Valkyrie Hypercar. 

At About:Energy, Gavin is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.  His role focuses primarily on company vision, strategy, and recruitment, as well as providing thermal modelling and measurement expertise. 

Gavin loves learning and trying new things, and has great passion for both social and environmental issues. These interests align perfectly with the company’s values, so to lead such a company is extremely rewarding for him.
