Joel made his debut as a Battery Engineer after completing his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering at Aston University. Prior to this, he worked as a Fleet Operation Associate for Zapp, optimising repairs and maintenance on the electric fleet across London. Joel’s experience has enabled him to find solutions that improve workflow and provide a better customer experience. 

As a Lab Manager, Joel works on developing our battery testing protocols and building out our infrastructure. He collaborates with the design team, supervises tests, and builds rigs, experiments, and testing equipment in the lab. 

What electrifies Joel the most is pushing boundaries and innovating future technologies - allowing them to be more interactive. He believes technology can always go further, and is excited to contribute to this with About:Energy.
